Tuulelind ejes af det estiske maritime akademi og bruges af akademiet i undervisningen. Det er altså studerende fra akademiet, som sejler med ombord. Sidste år tog Tuulelind sejren i D-klassen i The Tall Ships Races, og besætningen er opsat på at gentage succesen fra sidst.
Estlands søfartsakademi er skole under Tallinns Teknologiske Universitet. Tallinns Teknologiske Universitet er det eneste uddannelsesinstitution i Estland, der tilbyder professionsuddannelse og mastergraden på maritime området. Universitetet er opkaldt efter byen ’’Tallinn’’ men har også to centre i Saaremaa.
Tuulelind is owned by the Estonian maritime academy and is used by the academy for teaching purposes. The crew consists of students from the academy. Last year, Tuulelind took the victory in the D-Class in The Tall Ships Races, and the crew is keen to repeat the success.
Estonian Maritime Academy is one of the schools of Tallinn University of Technology and it is the only educational institution in Estonia that offers professional higher education and Master’s level education in the maritime field. We are located in the capital Tallinn but also have two centres in Saaremaa.
