Parking
It's easy to experience The Tall Ships Races. If you’re arriving by car, you'll be guided to a parking area, where shuttle buses frequently run to and from the harbor.
Park the car at Skibhøj
Avoid driving directly to the harbor area. Streets around the harbor will be closed, and parking will not be available.
Follow the signs directing you towards Skibhøj, where parking is provided. From there, shuttle buses will transport you to the harbor.
Free parking
Parking at Skibhøj, Veldbækvej 46, 6700 Esbjerg, is free of charge. Simply follow the signs upon arriving in Esbjerg.
Parking lot hours:
Wednesday and Thursday: 09:00–00:30
Friday: 09:00–01:30
Saturday: 09:00–16:00
Free shuttle buses
From 9:00, free shuttle buses run from the Skibhøj parking lot to Esbjerg Havn. The buses make two stops along Adgangsvejen and one at Dokken by Britanniavej, providing easy access to the entire harbor area where The Tall Ships Races take place.
The buses run at intervals of 5–15 minutes, and the trip takes approximately 10–15 minutes.

Wednesday and Thursday: 00:00
Friday: 01:00
Saturday: 15:00
All buses are accessible with low-floor entry.
If you have a valid accessible parking permit, you are entitled to park in the specially marked accessible parking spaces.
Accessible parking is available at Skibhøj, the designated parking area for visitors to The Tall Ships Races.

The accessible spaces are located close to the bus stop, so you won’t have far to go to reach the free shuttle buses running to and from the harbour.
Closer to the harbour, there are also a small number of accessible parking spaces available at:
- Adgangsvejen (opposite Skrågade)
- Auktionsgade
All shuttle buses are accessible, with low-floor entry.
If you can, cycling to The Tall Ships Races is highly recommended.
You can park your bicycle close to the harbor area, making it easy to walk to either Dokhavnen or Trafikhavnen.

The best place to wave goodbye is at the harbour
When the magnificent ships of The Tall Ships Races set sail on Saturday, many head to Sædding Beach and Man Meets the Sea to enjoy the impressive sight.
This leads to heavy traffic in the area. To ensure safety and smooth traffic flow, temporary parking restrictions will be in place along Sædding Strandvej.
We encourage everyone who wishes to experience the departure from Sædding to use the nearby parking areas and be prepared to walk the final stretch.
The very best place to experience the Tall Ships Parade is, of course, at the harbour, where we will give the ships a proper send-off.
