The maritime life is central to Esbjerg's status as Denmark's EnergyMetropolis, and therefore it is of course also part of The Tall Ships Races.

Head to the Maritime Square on Trafikhavnskaj, if you want to get close to life at sea and become wiser about the possibilities regarding a maritime education.

Friday, July 8 around 3 in the afternoon, you can experience what it also means to work at sea, when a rescue exercise is carried out in the harbor basin.

North Sea life and people

The life and people of the North Sea is a contemporary historical art and learning project based on the painter Mathilde Fenger's idea of ​​artistically depicting the iconic Danish activity in the North Sea in eight large oil paintings.

The project and the exhibition on the quay are a testament to an international local community that is the focal point for people and jobs, and it takes place out there on the North Sea, where sky and sea meet.

Be part of the opening on July 7 at 3.30 pm at Tværkaj 2.
