What former trainees say

A lot of people say that a voyage aboard a Tall Ship is an experience of a lifetime.

But what do the young trainees themselves really think about their experiences aboard a ship during The Tall Ships Races?

What is it like to sail as a trainee in The Tall Ships Races?

We asked some of the 150 local trainees who sailed from Sunderland to Esbjerg during The Tall Ships Races 2018 about their experiences at sea and, not least, what they got out of the trip.

We can reveal that it has been an unforgettable experience for many of them.

Describe your experience in a single sentence.
